The oil trading sector is a frequent fraud target

Emails, social-media profiles and WhatsApp messages impersonating oil brokers — potentially including the Invest Oil name — circulate from time to time to deceive buyers or sellers. This page exists to help you recognise them.

Common warning signs

• Email domains that look similar but are not identical to ours (e.g. a swapped letter, or an extension other than investoil.es).
• Crude oil or product offers priced well below market, with pressure to decide «today.»
• Requests for upfront payments, «processing fees» or deposits to personal accounts before any contract is signed.
• Proof-of-product (POP) documents, SGS certificates or sales mandates that cannot be independently verified with the issuer.
• Communication exclusively via WhatsApp or Telegram, avoiding corporate email or a verifiable phone call.

How to verify you are really talking to us

• Our only email domain is @investoil.es.
• We never request payments, deposits or banking details through this website or via WhatsApp.
• If you have any doubt about an email or offer that mentions our name, contact us directly at contacto@investoil.es before responding or paying anything.

Received a fraud attempt using our name?

Write to us at contacto@investoil.es with screenshots or the emails received. We also recommend reporting it to the authorities in your country (in Spain, to the National Police or Civil Guard through their cybercrime reporting channels).
